Beyoncé Remembers Whitney Houston

Beyoncé and Whitney Houston

Following the tragic loss of Whitney Houston, Beyoncé reflects on the “ultimate woman” who helped open doors for singers like herself. Her publicist has issued the following statement.

“The loss of Whitney Houston is painful. I remember meeting Whitney for the first time when I was 15. She was the ultimate legend. The ultimate woman. Not only was she confident, poised, stunningly beautiful and intelligent, but she was sincere and kind. She took the time to make everyone feel like they were very important to her. I, like every singer, always wanted to be just like her. Her voice was perfect. Strong but soothing. Soulful and classic. Her vibrato, her cadence, her control. So many of my life’s memories are attached to a Whitney Houston song. She is our queen and she opened doors and provided a blueprint for all of us. God bless her.”

@Tiffany, so its ok for everyone except Beyonce to remember & show love for one of the greatest influences & THE greatest voice in music b/c everything Beyonce does HAS to be for publicity (despite the fact that she’s one of the most sought after celebrities in the world w/out all the extra shit). Fuck off.

    [Reply]

    Pucci Reply:

@Jen, You can have more than one inspiration if you didn’t know it or not. Beyonce hasn’t been the only singer to say how much of an inspiration Whitney is to her, so why is it a problem when Beyonce does it? And she didn’t make it about her, she remarked on Whitney’s music and her memory. She made it about Whitney. I think you need to sit down somewhere & NEVER GET UP, SPEAK, or TYPE AGAIN! Fucking IDIOT.

    [Reply]

    Ashley Reply:

@Alicia’s a homewrecka, ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME. So when according to your logic whenever someone says R.I.P. Whitney its to gain something. This woman said nothing but great things about one of the most legendary pop stars ever. For an artist who has won LETS COUNT THEM 16 Grammys Beyonce knows Whitney paved the way. You mad because her success shits on your life. Because you’ll never be more than a comment on a blog. If you hate Bey than dont listen to her music or definitely don’t read posts about her. You’re pathetic.

    [Reply]

    KaramelKisses Reply:

@jl_crack, So people offering their condolences is hypocrisy? Please explaing … the loss of greats like M.J. & Whitney is painful because they opened doors for artists today however at the end of the day they were still adults that made the decisions that affected their lives. Time out for trying to hold others accountable for someone’s actions. Regardless of who reached out or who didn’t, you can’t force someone to take help. Besides no man (or woman) knows the day or the hour, you have to make sure your house is in order.

with all do respect, theres something logical with what the person tiffany had to say..yes everyone else has voiced their sadness, grief & condolences, but thats exactly it, THEY voiced it, not near one, including Aretha Franklin had to get her publicist to generate a statement…jeez, that lacks credibilty & personable, shoot for all we know, maybe the publicist wrote it themselves….sorry, not talking down or bad about Ms. Knowles, but it does seem a little incensative…”I’m just saying”…

I’m assuming 75% of ppl that used this blog are ignorant…how can u say just bc someone at beyonce caliber would used whitney’s death has a way to promote themselves,Aretha, brandy, kelly, clive over all the industry say what whitney did for them and how she helped and inspire them but when beyonce does it its called “self load”, and @sean with “all do respect” u taking up for the person said that bull just now,u two need jesus bc the hate u guys have in ur hearts for this girl is undeniable…we don’t even know u but we can tell ur very bitter for the existence beyonce and her life.

Cry hysterically and roll on the floor to prove how she feels? Anyway, If Bey or anyone would have to listen to haters, who hate themselves because they hate their boring lives, wouldn’t have made it in life…..R.I.P Ms Houston

If you all notice everytime the media say something about a R&B, Hip Hop or Pop artist is going to be or is the biggest artist in the entertainment industry they either end up passing or something happens to a family member. My friends are now saying that Beyonce, Jay Z is some of the biggest Illuminati who is controlling the industry, and they do not want anyone to top them. I personally don’t believe that Bey & Jay would do something like that. My friends and I were looking at the news and they said that Whitney Houston was going to make a strong comeback that would turn the industry upside down. She & Michael Jackson were once the hightest paid Black artists. She just finish the movie Sparkle and was training her vocals to make a huge comeback. Now my friends and other people are saying it’s strange that this happened, and Beyonce , Jay Z didn’t have anything to say about it until now. They said Michael Jackson use to like Beyonce but, before he died he lost all respect for her. His sister Janet and the rest of the Jackson family are upset because Beyonce said her family wasn’t poor like the Jackson’s and she grown up upper middle class. She said it in her documentary about when they where trying to make it in the business. The Jackson’s including Michael felt disrespected, and Janet said she was going to confront Beyonce. Now my friends are saying because Michael was the King of pop and at the head of the game all of the sudden he is now gone. I don’t believe in all of this but, everyone is entitle to have their own opinion.
