J. Cole’s mom met Lupe Fiasco’s mom for the first time at the Grammys. The proud women and their sons did a joint interview for Fuse, sharing what it was like to raise a rapper and remembering the legacy of Whitney Houston. J. Cole also revealed his favorite Whitney song, “I Will Always Love You.”

“I’m biased ’cause of The Bodyguard. I love that movie. I was a kid watching that. That’s how I got my crush on Whitney Houston,” said Cole. “The fact that she’s a black singer, she reached those heights as a female. That’s Celine Dion, Titanic heights.”

wanted cole or bon iver to win and bon iver won so its all good. cole just started so i know for a fact that this is the first of many nominations and he’ll deffo win one soon
