Rap-Up.com || Timbaland Declares Rick Ross the ‘Reincarnated B.I.G.’

Rick Ross is getting a major co-sign from Timbaland. The super-producer has compared the Miami MC to one of the greatest rappers of all time, the late Notorious B.I.G.

“Let me show ya’ll how to take it to the next level. The best with the best,” said Timbaland, while on set of Rozay’s video for “MMG Untouchable.” “He’s the newest, reincarnated B.I.G. and that’s coming from the heart, a ni**a who worked with B.I.G. I’m telling you like it is. I know rap stars and he’s one of the biggest rap stars who ever done it. I’m happy to be a part of it.”

The two have been in the studio working on new music for Ross’ upcoming album God Forgives, I Don’t. “We putting some magic together that’s finna come to ya’ll real soon in a major way,” said Rozay.

rick ross has improved ALOT as an MC since he first came out, i’ll give him that, plus he has a good ear for great instrumentals, but the difference is B.I.G had true street cred, where as ross is a known corrections officer, but he does make good music and thats why he’s still relevant

If Rick Ross is the new B.I.G., then not only is Hip Hop dead, but Hip Hop is buried at sea, just like Osama Bin Laden, hip hop is wiped face off the planet. I respect Timbaland as a great producer, but Timbaland must be doing cocaine, if he thinks Rick Ross is just as great as B.I.G. Rick Ross is not even the real Rick Ross. Rick Ross stole his name from a real gangsta. Rick Ross was a correction officer controlling brothers who were locked up, he lied about being a drug kingpin just to be famous. Even if Rick Ross makes great music, it doesn’t change the fact that Ross is a fake person. The last time I checked, there were no lies in B.I.G.’s verses.

Rozay is hot right now, but I doubt we’ll still be jamming to his shyt in 10-20yrs like we still do to Biggie. Timbo is talented as a mofo, but he got this one wrong. Rozay don’t have the lyrical skill Biggie was blessed with. He makes some hot beat though.

Danja made like 1 beat for Ross; No.1 of Teflon Don, which Danja himself has disavowed as Ross’ inhouse producers and mixers changed it up to much after he sold it. If you feel anyone’s been left out you should name The Runners or J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League… Sidenote. B.I.G. didn’t really make he’s own beats as well. But it sure is a talent to pick the ‘right’ beats…
