Usher shies away from the spotlight on the seductive cover of “Climax,” his new single. The scintillating song, which hits digital retailers today, was written and produced by Ariel Rechtshaid, Redd Stylez, and Diplo. It will appear on the R&B heartthrob’s as-yet-untitled seventh album, due later this spring on RCA Records. Listen below.

Best song by Usher after a long time. A whole new genre as well.
Hope he does not make any more auto-tuned euro-dance trash like OMG.

Another Usher takeover, and this time it seems like it’s going to be a lot more organized (single-wise) than Raymond V. Raymond. Please give us some baby-makers reminiscent of My Way’s (“Nice & Slow”), 8701′s (“Twork It Out”), Confessions (“Whole album, especially “Seduction”), Here I Stand (“Love You Gently”), and Raymond V. Raymond (“Mars Vs. Venus”). The falsetto in Climax has already given me hope that this will be another classic album.

Climax isnt really first single worthy in my opinion more of a second or third. Was looking for a more uptempo record.

This song has to be a hit, it has this good weird vibe to it and his voice sounds better it did on these other songs he’s been releasing.

Not only is Climax a baby maker but also a battle of mind and flesh.Usher tries to deny his reasons that he still cares and yet doesn’t know why he still does. Not only is he stating why do I care at all but also he is questioning himself and the leading him no where. The climax seems to happen when in the third verse when he explains the reasons and the first two verses seems as if they are what has brought him to that point. I am so proud of Ushers. Vocals and emotional input on this song.Climax truly delivers an eargasm.#SMILE

The falsetto singing throughout the whole song does not really do it for me. I think it’s a guy thing. This song is strictly for the ladies. As a guy though, I’m a Usher fan and will definitely cop his new album. “Raymond Vs. Raymond” was solid.

About time smooth Usher came back. If this doesn’t sell, then it’s living proof that the music market is pathetic… and that nothing apart from that dance bs will sell, which is really sad. But as soon as we get out of that stage, I swear it will be a day to rejoice.
