Cash Money Signs Limp Bizkit, Working with Ashanti![]() The Young Money-Cash Money family is getting bigger by the day. Fresh off signing Christina Milian, the famed hip-hop label has added Limp Bizkit to its roster and is possibly working with Ashanti.
Lil Wayne called into “Kissing After Dark” on New York’s 98.7 Kiss FM, the R&B radio station he listened to while serving time at Rikers Island in 2010, where he announced the rock band’s affiliation with Cash Money Records. “As far as Cash Money, they’re always listening and looking at acts, so honestly, it’s like every other day I hear about somebody new just signed to Cash Money,” Weezy told host Lenny Green. “The other day I just found out Limp Bizkit signed to Cash Money. So they’re signing everybody and everybody’s getting a chance.” Frontman Fred Durst confirmed the news on Twitter. “Rock shit doesn’t rock anymore! They say the whole game done went pop so I’m back in this ho! #CMLB,” he tweeted. The Young Money CEO also dropped another bombshell, revealing that Ashanti may be getting down with the YMCMB camp. “I don’t wanna step across any boundaries, but I think we’re working with Ashanti right now,” he shared. Ashanti launched her own label Written Entertainment last year and is currently promoting her single “The Woman You Love” featuring Cash Money signee Busta Rhymes. Maybe Ashanti is considering a deal with them for promotion. YMCMB as an umbrella label for Written Entertainment. I don’t know but I can’t wait to find out what’s going on.

#MardiGrasMixtape out now…it’s MUCH better than any YMCMB album (or any Cash Money album after Mannie Fresh left)

I don’t think Ashanti will do it unless she is the front Woman for YMCB……..They would have to Treat her totally different…..Plus she has her own label so I an lost,But she is to big of a Artist to sign with them unless they r not working something out

I almost feel sorry for them, their careers are destined to be ruined, like someone said here YMCMB is a label with a gazillion artists centered around 3 people (you know who :P). Baby just wants to be powerful.
So to all the ‘veteran’ or ‘oldies’, you might as well retire than joining/staying with them in order to save your image.

:*There are certainly a lot of dliates like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both boys and girls feel the impact of just a moment’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.
