Jay-Z isn’t the only hip-hop superstar heading to South by Southwest. 50 Cent will headline the Shady 2.0 Showcase in Austin, Texas, later this month.
The G-Unit mogul will perform his 2003 debut Get Rich or Die Tryin’ in its entirety for the first time at Austin Music Hall on Friday, March 16. Shady Records signees Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse are also on the bill.
Before the main acts hit the stage, hip-hop newcomers Big K.R.I.T., Schoolboy Q, Action Bronson, Don Trip, S.T.S, and the Foodchain will warm up the crowd during the “Next Phase” showcase.
In addition to the Shady crew, Warner Music Group has lined up a three-day residency at La Zona Rosa from March 13-15 with performers including T.I., B.o.B, Santigold, Neon Hitch, Ed Sheeran, Curren$y, and Maybach Music’s Wale, Meek Mill, and Stalley.
