Ashanti is back! The R&B songstress rockets into outer space in the futuristic video for “The Woman You Love,” the first single from her fifth album Braveheart, due this spring on her label Written Entertainment. A tortured Ashanti reminisces about her troubled relationship aboard a starship, recalling the ups and downs with her boyfriend, played by actor Marcus Patrick. Is she able to leave the past behind and move on? Find out.

Ashanti had a comeback like 3 1/2 years ago, but when the Sasha Fierce era came it was gone/dead/tired/dry/has-been Bey is the true slayer. Definately a high budget video. Ashanti shot this video for 2 days and 2 day shoots are rarely ever low budget in todays music business most videos are shot in just one day. She is definately back and making a statement that she doesnt need a Major label to back her up. This is what more artists today need to do. Not only is Ashanti getting bigger checks, she is taking creative control of her entire career. So much respect for this chick right here. I wish Ashanti nothing but the best.
