Maybach Music Group Invades '106 & Park'

  /  03.14.2012

Meek Mill, Rick Ross, Wale, and Stalley

Before Rick Ross’ big show at Hammerstein Ballroom, Rozay and his Maybach Music Group—Wale, Meek Mill, and Stalley—stormed the stage at “106 & Park.” Meek spoke about his upcoming debut, Stalley talked about performing at SXSW, Wale shared his experience on “Rip the Runway,” and Rozay explained how he assembled his all-star team.

“I was just a great student of the game, watching the Puff Daddys and the Birdmans and all the real empires, and it was just all about dope music, not a specific genre or direction,” said the Bawse, who will announce a release date for his album God Forgives, I Don’t in the coming weeks. “It was just about who was making the best records and who I felt was gonna be the leader of the culture.”

Wale, who is set to launch a hat line in the fall, premiered his video for “Ambition” featuring the MMG crew. “We tryna inspire young urban America to dream big,” said the D.C. rapper. “You can be rich forever.”
