If you really think she’s “wack” and that she’s a “sell out”, then you wouldn’t pay her any mind and try to let her fade into irrelevancy. This once again proves that Nicki smarter than people think she is (or doesn’t think she is).

She released Starships as the lead single to satisfy the current radio market of what’s dominating airwaves. Starships was the song to get people to know that she has a new album on the way.

Then she goes on to release this track list which shows that a good portion of this album will be Hip-Hop/Rap influenced. This will bring back the fans that said she “sold out”.

I can’t wait for this album. I’m mostly excited for Champion because Nas doesn’t just collaborate with anyone. Also I’m excited for Gun Shot; I love when Nicki does reggae-esque raps etc.

@T, That’s what I’ve been TELLING people! Starships was a song DESIGNED to chart the top of Billboard. That’s it and that’s all. It has a great pop beat, a catchy chorus, and a nice summer vibe about it which it being that it’s nearing the summer and Spring Break it’ll get major airplay.

Stupid Hoe, despite it receiving mainly negative reviews, created a nice little buzz for the album which is all she wanted. Her Grammy Performance, despite people being mad at it’s controversiality and it’s overall delivery, still has people talking today! She chose some of the most hardcore hip hop features in order to get the urban buzz back that she may have lost from people saying she sold out. Nicki is all about branding, clever branding at that! People underestimate her business savviness.

hav to admit…….i’m pretty pumped for this album right about now. looking at the album cover i thought this album would be filled with trashy pop hits and dry r&b songs but i cant wait to here all these new songs! people like nas dont just work with anyone so this album definitely has to be some special. Roman in Moscow and Stupid Hoe weren’t the best songs, marilyn monroe and young forever definitely showed her vocal skill, starships was a great dance song, roman holiday showed her slightly crazier side and roman reloaded won me over. cant wait.
