B.o.B battles himself on “Where Are You (B.o.B vs. Bobby Ray),” an introspective cut off his sophomore album Strange Clouds, due May 1. The Atlanta MC struggles with being a star while trying to please both his family and fans on the “Stan”-esque tune.
“Whatever happened to Bobby Ray, he used to be here for us/ Then he got famous and left all of his fans in the dust,” a forthcoming B.o.B raps over the piano-driven melody.
From being called a sell-out to missing family occasions, the Grand Hustle signee exposes his inner turmoil. Get inside his head.
I can tell I’m gonna love the album, i was a little blah at 1st with “Strange Clouds”, but he’s been doing pretty good so far musically with the album. “Play The Guitar”, perfect (it’s my ringtone), “So Gone” one of my faves right now, play it everyday, & now this. Since then, “Strange Clouds” the single has grown on me too. Sounds like this will be a very versatile album.
@Eargazzm, those generic hacks are the rappers who came shit dirt poor struggling and want as much money as they can get…i understand how u feel cause i personally love kendrick lamar hes probably ONE of the best new lyricist out but doesnt get much shine….but can u blame them really?? they had NOTHING made it in the industry and are now doing everything they can to get as much money as they can??? everyones reasons are diff
Just gained my respect for him back. This is the best shit he’s put out in a long while. Hopefully people actually listen to what he says and don’t right it off bc it’s not a club banger.
those generic hacks r ppl who grew up dirt broke and made it in the game and are trying to get as much money as possible….can u blame them??? i respect and love lyricism more than anything but ppl are different and there reasons are different….at theend of the day those hacks who are selling records are more than able to take care of there family now and prepare better futures for there kids so they wont live the same lives…..wayne for example hatem or love him.(i hatem) u gotta respect him cause he was nothing and now his fam is deff take care of and all his kids will be able to grow up 100x better than wayne did….

@Donald trump,
Nobody is dipshit. This is on a whole different parallel level.
@Trey
Totally agree.
I’m sick of generic hacks like Big Sean, Rick ROss etc. selling records whereas genuine lyrically gifted rappers Like B.o.B are been undermined.

He sounds like Kayne on this song. “So Good” is better than this song though.
