Rap-Up.com || Nicki Minaj Announces ‘Pink Friday’ European Tour Dates

Nicki Minaj is invading Europe this summer. After opening for Lil Wayne and Britney Spears last year, hip-hop’s reigning diva will launch a solo tour overseas this June.

The “Pink Friday” tour commences June 8 in Stockholm, Sweden, traveling to countries including Norway, Denmark, Belgium, France, and Italy, before wrapping August 19 in Chelmsford, England. The schedule includes stops at festivals such as T in the Park, Barclaycard Wireless, and the V Festival.

The “Starships” rapper will treat fans to new material off her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, due April 3. The follow-up to her 2010 debut features appearances from Chris Brown, Drake, Lil Wayne, Nas, Rick Ross, Cam’ron, and more.

After making her way through Europe, Nicki will bring the tour to Japan, Australia, and the U.S. Dates have yet to be announced.

Gotta Fly like a movie no commercial, the reason why this woman is soo successful hate her or not she appeals to such a large audience. yea she has pop songs and “stupid hoe” but regardless there is always hip hop incorporate within. Stop being 1 track minded if you think hip hop is “Dead” cause it doesn’t sound the way it did in the 90s. Times has changed and this women knows that and hence why her sound has changed from mixtapes to today.

@Lauryn, she is the queen of hip hop no doubt about it her commercial success and sales show that. Her mixtape and features show that. Yea she crossed over into pop but that’s what a business woman does. she’s not stupid and not about the quick money she is thinking a head. She is the most talented rapper out due to being able to send her message across multiple demographics and keeping them please. if you don’t like her rap shit most likely you don’t like her “pop” shit so either way you would find something about her to dislike. Get over it, take notes on how to make money.

With her current album sales, that second, “bigger” tour won’t materialize.

Btw, who does that? You don’t split a big market. If you’re gonna get the arena, then you get the arena, not do a theatre and come back. That only works if you could sell out multiple shows or you’re gaining popularity and breaking big ie Gaga’s Fame Ball tour or the trillion legs Kelly Clarkson did for Breakaway.
