Melanie Fiona capped off her release week by hitting up “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on Friday. The Grammy-winning singer joined her brother from the Roc, J. Cole, to perform “This Time,” the latest single off her sophomore album The MF Life, which is expected to sell 27-30,000 copies in its first week.

Melanie is one of the few singers that actually sounds just as good live she does on record. Her new album is excellent. She’s keeping R&B alive!

Melanie Fiona is so talented…and unlike many artists, she can actually SING, so I find it despicable that her album numbers are so low.
J. Cole ;)

I wanna marry Melanie Fiona real talk, I don’t listen to female R&B like that, but I know she’s one of the few talented ones who can actually sing and makes real soulful R&B music. It’d be nice to see her pushing Beyonce/Rihanna type units, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon sadly, as for J. Cole, that’s that dude right there, one of my favorite rappers out now

Honestly I do not understand why who music isn’t bought in larger amounts! Like they are predicting that she only ships 30,000 copies her first week? What the hell?! She is amazing. I am going to get a copy of her album today!

@lol, Sales don’t matter as much as they used to and Melanie has got critical acclaim and she can perform her ass off so at least she gets the respect she deserves. That’s all that matters if you ask me. I hope she doesn’t go pop. I thought that was what her label was going to do to her this go-around but luckily I was wrong because “The MF Life” is PURE SOUL and I seriously love this album. I smell GRAMMY.

LOL at sales don’t matter as it use to, what do you think these record labels and artist live off of, critical acclaim. Go support music and stop screwing artist over and stop complaining about music if you don’t support it.

It’s irritating when people say go support and buy music stop complaining. How can you buy a cd if it’s not in stores? That’s how these artists are getting messed over because their labels are not shifting enough of their albums on shelves. So you can’t purchase and cd that’s not in the store.
