Cowabunga! Dawn Richard rounds up her Hearts and storms the desert in the video for “Bombs,” the explosive first single off her EP Armor On, produced and written by Druski. The former Danity Kane and Dirty Money diva transforms into a warrior princess, donning a feathered headpiece and long braid, as she and her dancers bust out aggressive choreography to the bombastic beat.

“I wanted the art direction to be cohesive with the song and sound of the EP,” said Dawn. “Warriors fighting for the same cause. ‘Bombs’ is the ‘Hearts have arrived’ record.”

@Lauryn, I think people are so used to wacky facial expressions a la N.Minaj that when someone doesn’t make a face, rather a cold boss stare, they can’t get it. Her facial expressions were one of the things I liked the most about the vid and I even commented on it. She looked like a boss, like she owned everything and nobody could tell her different. She worked her behind off in this video. I was never checking for her before this, just watched the vid on a whim, but I’m gonna watch it again for the 3rd time. She did the dang thang.

It obviously reminds me of my girl Bey’s Run the World. However, Dawn SLAAAAAYEED THIS VIDEO! Her dancing was so on point and her confidence was off the hook. She always reminded me of Brandy for some reason. She DEF put her foot in this….The tutting was bomb she’s SO driven and talented. She deserves success!

As a choreographer myself iCan honestly say the choreo is DOPE AF! The song sounded like it was missing a feature, a well known rapper would of sent the song off to another level! The video & song was 90% of the way there. I Love Dawn but she wont make it as a solo artist, just being honest.

She KILLED THIS. AMAZING. I havn’t seen Hard choregraphy like this from anybody this year apart from Chris Brown’s ‘Turn Up The Music’ Video. No ones doing full out Choregraphy in their videos about from Dawn,Chris and Bey.

Anyone who says this is just like the Run the world vid clearly live in a Top 40 world. Maybe boarden your scope. Go to galleries, read books, watch the news, listen to music outside of the Top 40. But most importantly experience LIFE. Once you do that, you will be better informed when making judgements.

Dawn’s hustle is very inspirational. This EP is outstanding and i hope it brings her much success.

Dawn really outdid herself with this song and video. The choreography was really dope. You can only imagine what her videos would be like backed up by a Major Label it would be a wrap. Def Jam, Universal, Warner Bros, Epic, RCA etc should all be watching this chick. In the end Dawn will win she is too talented not too and her perseverance is going to get her there.

Dawn is hands down the best female artist out right now. This video just proved it. Someone needs to coach beyawnce how to dance cause the fake azz moves in her video looks robotic. Dawn just showed yah how to really dance. Everything just flowed smoothly into each dance routine. It wasn’t robotic or technical like beyawnce.
