Rap-Up.com || Elle Varner Lights Up ’106 & Park’

Elle Varner brought some sunshine to the “106 & Park” stage during her appearance on Wednesday’s show. The cute and quirky singer answered questions from the bowl of randomness and spoke about the success of her J. Cole-assisted single “Only Wanna Give It to You,” shooting the video for “Refill,” and her forthcoming album.

She told fans to expect “a lot of color, a lot of range” on her self-written debut Perfectly Imperfect, due later this year. “There’s fun songs, emotional songs, deep songs, everything you could think about is on that album,” she explained.

Elle, who is heading to Europe next, picked up some pointers after touring with Luke James, Stacy Barthe, and Estelle. “It’s been life changing, especially watching Estelle,” she said. “She’s such a veteran and an amazing performer.”

She added, “I got the pen game down. I got the singing down. Now it’s the performance and I’m ready to blow it up.”
