Rap-Up.com || New Music: T.I. – ‘Love This Life’

After feeding the streets with his mixtape cuts, T.I. speaks to the ladies and the fellas on “Love This Life,” the first official single off his upcoming eighth album Trouble Man, due this summer. Tip raps and sings over the drum-heavy beat by Mars of 1500 or Nothin’.

“With Paper Trail, we had ‘Whatever You Like’ and that was catered directly toward the women,” Tip told Greg Street on V103. “Now this is something that guys and women together can enjoy.”

Really good, you can tell just by listening that T.I. is finally back. Although this is definately a radio hit, its much better than where he was at last year. Can anyone even remember the lead single off of No Mercy? I don’t recall hearing a song from that entire album on the radio. T.I. is my favorite rapper and its nice to hear that he’s back on track.

When T.I came out of Jail and was putting out all those Trap Joints, I was like he needs to go pack to the pop joints that made him a crossover rapstar. But then this is just weak honestly, ill take the Trap stuff over this anyday.

It’s ear candy. 2nd verse definitely better. Gotta spit realer on a track like this. Material ish is cool and expected but you gotta dig deeper on a track like this. Bout time I play this for the 3rd time, I’ll forget everything I just said and just bump it. But on first listen, this is what I feel it’s missing. Was surprised to hear Tip singing like that. Def higher, more singer like than his usual. 8/10 just for the feel.
