Rita Ora has her sights set on conquering pop music, and she’s well on her way. Born in Kosovo and raised in West London, the 21-year-old singer inked a deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation at 18 and scored a No. 1 hit in the U.K. this year with “Hot Right Now.” Rita, who is the latest VEVO LIFT artist in the U.K., describes going from working in a shoe store to hanging with superstars like Beyoncé and Kanye West.

“Sometimes I can’t get my head around it, and this is just the start,” said Rita of her newfound success.
