New Music: Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T, & 2 Chainz – ‘Mercy’![]() Mr. West is back up in the building. The G.O.O.D. Music chief pulls up in his Lamborghini Murciélago on “Mercy,” the first single off the highly-anticipated G.O.O.D. Music compilation, featuring Big Sean, Pusha T, and 2 Chainz. Sean goes up to bat first (“White girls politickin’ that’s that Sarah Palin”) followed by Pusha T (“That white frost on that pound cake, so your Duncan Hines is irrelevant”), Yeezy, and 2 Chainz. “I threw suicides on the private jet/ You know what that mean, I’m fly to death/ I step in Def Jam building like I’m the shit/ Tell ‘em give me 50 million or I’ma quit/ Most rappers taste level ain’t at my waist level,” raps ‘Ye, who is bound to replace “that shit cray” with his new catchphrase “swerve.” Who had the best verse? Listen to the Lifted-produced track below.

@saadkid08, *blank stare* Anyway, I kinda like how Kanye is doing these southern records. This club beat with that production it pretty sick. Who knew 2 Chainz would blow up like this. I enjoyed his verse on both of his recent features. Wish everybody else brought more to the table though.

2 CHAINZ’ VERSE IS THE BEST! After appearing on Nicki’s Beez in the Trap with his killer verse, he’s definitely garnering some attention. Looking forward to his album!
Kanye’s is a little underwhelming – nowhere near as good as his powerful verse in Monster.
Don’t like Pusha T at all, and Big Sean adds some flavour to the track, which sounds quite good, but not the best material we’ve heard from most rappers involved (except for 2 Chainz, whose verse IMO is a stealer)

Kanye > 2 Chainz = Big Sean > Pusha T, this is a banger, I just wish it had a better hook, and it’ll probably sound a whole lot better when we hear the uncensored CDQ version without tags

@rackcity, Kanye West by himself makes better music than every rapper in YMCMB, Kanye West made College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation, 808s and Heartbreak, and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy which all of those albums got great critical acclaim and won 18 Grammy Awards. Kanye West’s whole entire catalog of albums is better than every rapper in YMCMB. Common by himself makes better music than most people in YMCMB. Common’s Like Water Like Chocalate, Be, Finding Forever, and The Dreamer/The Believer albums is better than most of YMCMB’s albums. Pusha T by himself makes better music than most people in YMCMB. When Pusha T was with The Clipse, The Clipse dropped Hell Hath No Fury which sounds better than some of the music coming out of YMCMB. Kanye West, Common, and Pusha T by themselves have always been better rappers than all rappers in YMCMB.
Drake and Busta Rhymes are the only two rappers in YMCMB who actually knows how to put out good music. Lil Wayne fell off since he made both Rebirth, and Tha Carter IV which both albums got terrible reviews from unbiased music critics. Nicki Minaj’s 2012 Grammy Awards performance got terrible reviews from all music critics and music fans. Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded is getting bad reviews from music critics, and only barley going to sell over 200,000 copies in its first week out. Tyga’s album is decent, but not a great album. Birdman sucks at rapping, and the other rappers in YMCMB are either average, or terrible, and we don’t know when some of their albums are coming out right now.
I understand that you are a hardcore fan of YMCMB’s music, but don’t let yourself being a fan of YMCMB ruin your judgement to the point where you are bias towards other people’s music whether you think the music from others outside YMCMB is great, or garbage.
I like some of the songs that YMCMB makes, by I know for a fact that Kanye West, Common, Pusha T, Kid Cudi, John Legend, Mr. Hudson, Big Sean, and Cyhi Da Prince have released studio albums and mixtapes that have gotten better critical reviews than the majority of the rappers in YMCMB over the last 7 to 8 years, and that’s the unbiased truth.

@TRA,da-n sh-t you really wanted to get that sh-t off your chest, kayne is the best i won’t deny that, but that don’t mean everything he puts out is flawless, lil wayne have some great songs too some are classics, and you are being Bias, because you are going off grammies and them bias d!ck riding reviews,i see some truth plat with Bias sh-t.

@op, I am not being bias, I said I like some of the stuff that YMCMB puts out, but when you look at the overall body of work, Kanye West has accomplish a lot more things in his career compare to other rappers in YMCMB over the last couple of the years. I never dickride any music artist, I am very careful when it comes to judgeing and criticizing other people’s music. If you look at my old post from early at the top of the page, you will see that I said that Kanye West’s verse on Mercy could had been much better. I don’t always base my opinions off of critical reviews and who wins the most awards, I listen to every music artist’s albums before I make an opinion. Just because music critics like Kanye West’s music doesn’t always mean that music critics are bias towards other artists.
