Rap-Up.com || Video: Drake f/ Rihanna

Drake drops the long-awaited video for “Take Care.” The Canadian star cozies up to Rihanna in the abstract clip directed by Yoann Lemoine.

“It had to go through a process—I shot it with a director who’s incredible and we were just very specific about it,” Drake told Capital FM. “It’s a big record and a lot of footage. It’s very artistic very abstract video—something that I wasn’t used to. I’m usually sued to a very straight forward concept so I’m really excited for people to see it because it’s actually just something beautiful to look at.”

I like what the director did for that one Lana Del Rey video & I had high hopes. It’s a clean crisp look but if U look at the directors catalog you’ll see that all the elements of this video is recycled. I still LIVE 4 this song, but the visuals added nothing. They looked good I guess.

Wonderful video, it was simple but the way it was set up made the song deeper than the meaning. The bull represented the pain and frustration of a relationship. Then the bird and fish represented the healing process, that someone can take you under their wing and guide you.

I always say that Rihanna is to Beyoncé what Katy Perry is to Lady Gaga. They can’t compare, they are like the cheap version of the version with actual talent (Bey and Gaga). I feel like out of all of YMCMB, Nicki & Birdman’s videos are the only ones that get any real money spent on them. Everybody else, green screen with a few REAL scenes.
