Lil Wayne had love on his mind while serving time at Rikers Island in 2010. During a new interview with “MTV’s Hip Hop POV” at his Miami crib, Weezy reveals that he was writing love songs for a new album called Devol. However, it’s unclear if he still has plans to release the project.
“I was also recording an album at the same time called Devol, spelled D-E-V-O-L ’cause that’s ‘loved’ spelled backwards,” the Young Money rapper told DJ Amanda Seales. “And it’s my version of love songs. And what I mean by my version of love songs is they’re not saying I love you.”
Part one of the two-part interview will air tonight at midnight. See him speak on the Devol project below.

@M3-InK, I’m not sure if my first reply to this statement went through but I’ll say it again. You’re absolutely right! I noticed that just from the headline of the article and I rarely listen to rap or hip/hop.Speaks volumes about his artistry and originality. Plus it pays homage to an actual artist that is true to his craft..Mr.Mathers. #CopyCopyPaste

@M3-InK, Wayne actually said it first in a song called “Thats Not Love” but alot of people didn’t notice it because it was a song that leaked & not on a official album.

If people cannot see things for what they are and what they truly are becoming……what a blind society.
He was already rocking inverted crosses…
Devol is still Devil
If y’all can’t see this BS…..I feel sorry for you.
This is not even deceptive, it’s right in your face.
Watch rap-up not allow the reply to post.

@M3-Ink…I absolutely agree with you sir/ma’am!! I caught that just from the headline of the article and I rarely even listen to rap or hip/hop. It really speaks volumes of his credibility as an artist and his originality. However it does pay homage to an artist that is flawlessly true to his craft…Mr.Mathers. Thank you for putting that out there.#CopyCopyPaste

@M3-Ink…I absolutely agree with you on your statement! Even as a person who rarely listens to rap or hip/hop..I noticed this.It speaks volumes as to Wayne’s credibility as an artist and shines doubt on his originality. It does however, pay homage to an unparalleled rap mogul, Mr.Mathers. It indirectly showcases why he is one of the best artists of all time…in my opinion. I have heard only the first few bars of “Spacebound” but I recall the first few bars.Thank you for pointing out the obvious and giving credit where its deserved…and warranted. #CipyCopyPaste
