Big Sean Talks New Album, Tyga Collaboration, & Love for Fur![]() During his visit to Cali, Big Sean sat down with Power 106’s Mando Fresko to speak about the G.O.O.D. Music single “Mercy,” his sophomore album, relationship status (he’s taken, ladies), and love for fur. “I just feel like this album is about progression,” the Detroit MC said of the follow-up to his 2011 debut Finally Famous. “I feel like everything I do I progress. Kanye said, ‘I want you to be better than me and better than Jay. I want you to be the best ’cause you the younger generation. We passing our secrets on to you.’ If you don’t take it to a new height and new levels, then what the fuck are we doing this for? That’s the point, to evolve.” The album, due in late summer/early fall, will include a new collaboration with Tyga. “That’s gonna be a fresh one for the radio. That’s just gonna kill ‘em.” He also shared details about his favorite song called “One Man Can Change the World,” which was inspired by his most dedicated fan. “When you got the mic, you gotta make sure you say something for these people, especially for these ones who look up to you, or your moment in time will just be wasted.” Plus, find out his thoughts on animal rights organization PETA, who recently had some words for his boss. “I’m a Detroit player, so I rock leather, fur,” said Sean. “I respect that movement, but damn I love that fur.”

This man is pathetic how could you love wearing the skin of another living being. Urghh
Half these rappers claim they came from nothing but they end up loving shit they never would have had.
Asshole talks about how one man can change the world but here he is wearing fur, destroying the world. he talks about racism and how they were discriminated but doesn’t care about how poor animals are discriminated everyday for their skin or meat. That’s real racism!
STFU and Make GOOD music FFS!

@Eargazzm, So I guess killing animals for their meat is okay, but killing them for their skin (of both) is wrong? Hmmm…okay…
And rappers that come from nothing are supposed to dress like they have no money for their entire career? Okay…

@Treyy, I understand that people kill animals for food, but they usually do it in a humane way. In order to get fur, they skin the animals alive. Food is more of a necessity, whereas fur is a luxury item. Celebrities have so much influence on others, and so talking about your love of fur is not the best idea. Trust me, if he watches a video of how fur is removed, I doubt he’ll be happy wearing it in the future!

@Randy, Leather is almost always a by-product. The animals are slaughtered, and then their skin is removed. However, people want the fur/skin to be intact (no holes or tears), and so the animals aren’t killed beforehand and are skinned alive. Although they are both bad, the amount of suffering animals have to go through when their skinned alive (it takes hours for them to die) tends to be more than when animals are slaughtered (their death is usually very quick).

@everyone no i dont own any leather nor fur.
Eating meat is bad as well but it is required. Killing an animal (like a fox) JUST for its skin is cruel. we dont live in medieval times, we live in the time of science & tech. Science & Tech has made life easier that includes making fiber for clothing.
if u cant understand that simple principle u should live in the forest like people used to, hunting ur food and wearing the fur and skin.
Half the animals that killed for Fur are rare creatures, when they die out what then? Tell me.
Discrimination is discrimination regardless of race, sex or religion or even species.
If killing animals for fur (for the comfort of luxury living) is right then I guess killing humans in the name of God is also right, huh? Like what Osama and is cronies are doing? (thats a medieval practice by the way)
Again there are plenty of designer brands with atrocious price tags that Celebs can indulge themselves in instead of using fur. Why not dress in them to show off one’s monetary status.
@T.K thank you. nice to see people with common sense around.
