Rap-Up.com || Iggy Azalea Explains Why Her Album Is ‘Classic’

Iggy Azalea has a lot to live up to with the title of her debut The New Classic. During her appearance on “MTV’s Hip Hop POV,” the Australian femcee faced criticism from the hosts, but defended the bold choice.

“I think people think of classic and they think of a Nas record or a Jay-Z record or The Chronic,” said the “Murda Bizness” rapper.

“What makes something classic is when you hear it and you have that moment that is a time capsule. When I say The New Classic, I just want to make records that give you that moment for fans that they can remember where they were when they heard it.”

@Qs, She addressed both of them already in the past, as well as the slave master comment. She actually addressed each situation intelligently already, and you know good and well that if they talked about that again then people would complain that they “keep bringing it up”.

I’m not a fan, but fair is fair. The reason why I comment on this chick’s hate is because there’s some people crapping on the mainstream right now, so why even bother to get mad if another person steps up? There’s been a lot of racism against her, and some people act like it can’t go both ways. If it’s not cute for her to get too comfortable and make a play on words like she did then it’s not cute for people to be racist either. It’s not either way, anyway.

One more thing…did she perform. Last week 2 Chains was interviewed and performed. If she didn’t then it’s all fake. Rapping is talking. Your voice doesn’t change. Explain to me how her speaking voice and her rapping voice are totally different.
