J. Cole Gives Props to Big K.R.I.T., Kendrick Lamar

During the first stop on his “Campus Consciousness” tour in Rhode Island, J. Cole caught up with Fuse, where he showed love to his tourmate Big K.R.I.T. and Compton MC Kendrick Lamar.

“I’m just a fan of K.R.I.T.’s, period, really from the first time I heard about him,” said the Roc Nation rapper. “I think one of my homeboys was telling me, ‘Yo, he produces. He raps.’ So right away, anybody that does that, I’m instantly rooting for them.”

He also spoke about a joint he has in the vault with Kendrick Lamar. “I’ve been a big Kendrick Lamar fan from when we met,” said the St. John’s University grad. “I know fans, especially my fans, are like, ‘When you gon’ drop the Kendrick Lamar joint?’ That will absolutely happen, but you gotta give it time, you gotta give him time to get where he wanna be.”
