New Music: Goodie Mob – ‘Fight to Win’

Fight to Win

Cee Lo Green reunited with his Goodie Mob bandmates on “The Voice” last night to debut the group’s new single “Fight to Win.” Dressed as warriors in metallic gold suits with glowing teeth, the Atlanta collective performed the courageous track, which will be used as the theme song for the NBA. The elusive André 3000 even stopped by the show to watch them perform.

“It’s really a special song and you can tell it’s a continuum of what Goodie Mob stands for,” Cee Lo told Sway on “Sway in the Morning.” “It’s definitely African Americana.”

Cee Lo, Khujo, T-Mo, and Big Gipp have recorded 10-15 songs for their upcoming album Age Against the Machine, but a release date has not been set.

It’s a nice track, but it felt a little all over the place. Overall a fitting tune for the NBA.

Love Cee-lo but this not Goodie Mob at all. Less singing more rapping. Maybe Cee-lo could have sung the chorus and rap some a couple of bars.

this is ceelo’s revenge!!! so we can expect the rappers of the group to hardly get a verse like ceelo back in the day. so that ATL funk we all were expectin is officially obsolete.
