Slaughterhouse put it down for the streets and now they aim for the clubs with their single “My Life” featuring Cee Lo Green. The radio-friendly record, which hits iTunes on May 15, samples Corona’s 1993 dance smash “The Rhythm of the Night.” “This is the motherfu**ing life,” sings Cee Lo on the explicit hook, as Crooked I, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, and Royce da 5’9” exchange vicious verses. The group’s Shady Records debut Welcome to: Our House is due this June.

the question was never if they had the talent to be successful, it was whether they could dumb down their lyrics a little to have radio appeal. Music is no longer lyrical, and the listeners are to blame. They don’t want to sit down and dissect a song like they used to, they just want a repetitive song the can remember and dance to in the club…real music will make a comeback soon thanx to Slaughter, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole and others!
