The Def Jam project features the G-funk-flavored single “I Got This,” which the Mississippi MC produced himself. “It’s a representation of how I feel about underground vs. mainstream music,” explained K.R.I.T. of the artwork. “At times I feel like mainstream music operates on a totally different planet. This illustrates how I’ve crash landed into the mainstream to bring the sounds from the underground back to the forefront.” K.R.I.T. is currently playing shows across the country on J. God bless this man. I love him, he’s very talented artistically speaking and seems to have a beautiful soul. He manages to convey both skill & emotion via his music, rap artists who can do the same at such a level can be counted with the fingers of one hand.
