The wait is over. After several delays, Nicki Minaj finally debuts the futuristic video for “Starships,” the RedOne-produced single off her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. Her Minajesty shot the sexy scenes on the beaches of Hawaii with director Anthony Mandler in March. A green-haired Nicki shows off her voluptuous body in a hot pink bikini and gets carried by Hawaiian hunks through the lush landscape.

“When it comes out it’s going to be very, very saucy and very exciting, and it’s going to be lots of fun and probably going to be my best one yet,” said Nicki. “It’s just one of those records that feels good and the video compliments that.”

I honestly don’t knw what’s wrong with people. This song came out like 2 moths ago and everyone knew it was a pop song. So what do you expect the video to be? Nicki makes pop songs now, deal with it. If you dnt want to the forget about Nicki. It’s quite simple. I mean if some of y’all truly believe she’s doing this for attention and money….then isn’t that exactly what your giving her? Pop song = poppy video. Personally, I liked watching it. The song is so fun to listen to and she looked like she had a lot of fun making the video. She looked great too.
But I guess that’s just how society works :/

Unfortunately, the bad comes with the good when you’re really known. Nicki did cool in this vid BUT our expectations are much higher. It’s like Kanye coming out with an okay vid and expecting us to be cool with it. No, you set a higher standard for yourself and there were Kanye vids I didn’t like. I mainly don’t like this video bc it fails visually in making me hype like the breakdown is supposed. I actually got less hype and usually that breakdown makes me go stupid.
