@Whatcha_Sayin, Second this, Scream is great at delivering to the audience it was intended for. Usher caters to fans from every genre.

@Fran, scream is a great song

    [Reply]

    iListen Reply:

@tgod, No its not. It’s mainstream. That’s why we can’t skip over this electro/dance phase. because there are people that choose to buy that over different things. He needs to take more chances like this. DARE TO BE DIFFERENT!

    [Reply]

    Whatcha_Sayin Reply:

@iListen, And while I agree with that sentiment, that doesnt take away from the fact that Scream is a good song. It has that Usher signature stamp on it that OMG failed to have which separates the two.

  4. Ok.

Great song, not gonna lie. But Usher obviously has no creative direction anymore. It’s like Flo-Rida shit everytime.

    [Reply]

    a smart guy Reply:

@Ok., you are so on the money. i can’t believe that usher is another flo-rida,, but at the same time,, music is dying off into a gimmick,, so it’s totally understandable that things like usher’s career happens the way it does.. however i like this song :)

I’m sorry this is really wack to me, I agree with the person above who said he has no creative direction anymore.. Usher kinda lost his swag, Confessions is still the greatest r&b album of all time though

    [Reply]

    Nina Reply:

@Nia Loves Ya, …of all time? Have to disagree with you there (maybe in the last decade though)…But yeh, it’s a shame he’s going through this dance/electro phase…

@Nina, What’s the greatest r&b album of all time then? Come on try me!

After reading some of these comments, I actually thought this song was gonna be trash…After hearing it, it’s another classic hot Usher joint…there’s nothing wrong with this track at all…I guarantee u this will be a summer smash hit!! So far I’m feelin the singles he’s been coming out with…this reminds me a little of “Lil’ Freak ft. Nicki Minaj”, which was also my joint.

Good job Ush Ush, I will def be supporting you as always!!

    [Reply]

    iEm-Blog.com Reply:

@SdotB, same thaught! I´m not the biggest fan of “scream” but this one is a very cool joint which got a similar concept like Lil freak/ hot toddy! Very very cool! 8/10

I wont pass judgement till i hear the ablum as a whole. Singles are just teasers for a bigger picture.

    [Reply]

    Ice Reply:

@SeaUInJULY, True, Raymond V. Raymond’s album cuts were better than the singles imo. Pro Lover, Making Love (Into the Night), Mars Vs. Venus, She Don’t Know, all were fire.

Lackluster. Climax is the only decent song he has released so far. Scream is terrible and it’s flopping like it should.

    King Size Reply:

@Zack, a song dat been out for 5 days is a flop?

Usher is trying to appeal to broader audiences, hence the dance and pop music. It’s not killing anyone.

    Anyway, this is hot. Respect.

thought i was listening to lloyd or trey songz for a second, this hints ushers decline in creativeness. although, this song is still good, but for usher GOOD isn’t ENOUGH. his climax song might just be the climax of his whole album. i hope im wrong about that though…

    [Reply]

  24. Disitnguished

It’s decent….the B-section & chorus is tough. Rozay’s verse is nice. I can hear people bumping this in their cars on a nice summer night.

Nice. I’m probably the only one that likes this and “Scream”.

What I see in Usher is that he’s evolving. He’s versatile and can switch up on you. He’s catering to every market there is. Right now, the money is on the Electro market. That’s why he made “Without You” & “Scream”. Yet, he still stays true to his roots with “Climax” and “Lemme See”.

Usher is not stationary, he’s evolving and moving forward. That’s what some listeners need to do as well.

My music taste is evolving and moving forward just as quick as Usher. That’s why I’m loving the music he’s been dropping lately.

@Lou, I agree most artists like Usher,Kanye,Beyonce,Rihanna, even producers like Timbaland,JB,Kanye, evolve with the time and are still relevant while still making the same music they like about that artist for their fans why are people upset

It’s not a bad song but it sounds like a rip-off of Kelly Rowland’s “Motivation”. I know that this song and Kelly’s were produced by the same producer but Kelly’s song came out over a year ago. Jim needs to update his style if he wants to stay relevant.

Jim Jonsin produced this. Same guy who produced “Making Love (Into The Night)” off the Raymond v. Raymond album.

And that song was the best off RVR, IMO.

It was alright, so far my favorite out of the three songs he has released. The chorus is very solid, they did a great job on that. I didn’t dig the Trayvon Martin line in Rozay’s verse, though. It felt misplaced. Overall a nice track.
