Rap-Up.com || New Music: Quincy f/ Kendre

Quincy steps to the mic with something for the ladies. The 20-year-old singer/actor, who is the son of Kim Porter and Al B. Sure! and grew up with Diddy as a father figure, stopped by “106 & Park” on Thursday to premiere the video for “Stay Awhile.”

“It’s a young love story, basically telling a girl, the love of your life, to stay a while,” said Quincy, who started out as a rapper. “No one wants to see the one you love walk away, whether she’s going to work or whether she’s leaving you for good. I’m telling her to stay a while so I can really break it down and tell her how I feel.”

He’s currently in the studio working on his debut album, which will feature elements of R&B and dance. “It’s definitely a lot of pressure, but I like a challenge,” he explained.

@hmm, I read your comment before listening to it, and When the chorus came on I was shocked at how identical they sound. Not so much on the verses (a little bit on the last verse), but the chorus is exactly like Chris. The song is hella dope.
