Rap-Up.com || Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, J. Cole, & Big Sean Announced as Hot 97 Summer Jam Performers

It’s going to be a hot summer. Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and his Maybach Music family, J. Cole, and Big Sean are among the performers for this year’s Hot 97 Summer Jam.

The star-studded lineup was announced today and includes Waka Flocka Flame, French Montana, Maino, Tyga, 2 Chainz, Mavado, Young Jeezy, Trey Songz, Wale, Meek Mill, and DJ Khaled and friends. The New York radio station-hosted show will take place on Sunday, June 3, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Wale and Big Sean showed up during the live announcement. “We gon’ rock that main stage,” said the G.O.O.D. Music rapper, who performed “My Last” with Chris Brown last year.

The concert will kick off with performances from A$AP Rocky, Pusha T, Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Big K.R.I.T., and Fred the Godson, who will perform on the Festival Village stage.

The hip-hop fest has featured memorable appearances in the past from Michael Jackson, who joined Jay-Z onstage, as well as Eminem, Kanye West, and the late Notorious B.I.G.

@TrinaDaBestest, Yeah you know what’s even funnier she’s HEADLINING the WHOLE show. So technically all the other artist are opening for her. Still funny ? No.

If she was such a Popstar Hot 97 would not have choose her to headline one of the hugest events in Hip-Hop. You’d think after a while you’d haters just give up because Nicki isn’t going anywhere.

This is a boring line up. J.cole,tyga and Big Sean are the only ones who will give a good performance. But these are still newish artists. Where are the heavy weights?? Is that supposed to be Rick Ross? His crap live. Last year he took off this shirt and showed us his man boobs!
Plus, what songs is Nicki gonna perform? This is a Hip – Hop crowd and the hood dont know her anymore since she dropped RR. I bet u most of the set is gonna be full of Pink friday songs and less from Roman Reloaded. Nicki is pop whether she likes it or not. And the pop is not even good in it self.

Last years line up was better. Breezy killlllled it last year with a mix of Hip-Hop tracks (Look at me now) and RnB (She aint you). Plus, he bought out Tyga,K-Mac and Busta which slayed.He should have headlined again.

This year needed heavyweights.They should have called Kanye and G.O.O.D music. wale is repping but still.

@Wonderland19, You REALLY haven’t heard PF:RR because the album had more Hip-Hop songs than Pop. ‘HOV Lane’ ‘Come On A Cone’ ‘I Am Your Leader’ ‘Beez In The Trap’ ‘Roman Reloaded’ she had soooo many Hip-Hop songs on the album but people choose to focus on Pop.

It’s bad enough that only one artist really deserves to be on this lineup (J. Cole), but most of these assclowns should be on the pre-show festival stage instead. That’s how terrible/irrelevant they are. A poor excuse of a lineup.
