Azealia Banks is taking it back in time. The Harlem firecracker has unveiled the cover art and release date for her EP 1991.
The project will be released digitally on May 29 and physically on June 12, she announced via Twitter. It features the viral sensation “212” along with the title track, “Van Vogue,” and “Liquorice,” for which she recently reshot a video in the desert with director Rankin.
In addition to the EP, the 20-year-old MC is readying the summer release of her mixtape Fantastic. The lead single “Jumanji” debuted last week.
Her Interscope Records debut Broke With Expensive Taste is due this fall.

The cover is very simple and nothing special, but it’s like something you will remember, kinda gives you an idea of what’s coming musically

Cool release schedule, keeps her relevant and doesn’t leave you wondering “what happened to that 212 girl” or “she’s been riding on 212 for 11 months now”.

cover looks fine, but you know, it will be the first time that azealia debuts on mainstream, and i think it doesn’t really show who she is as an artist. i wish the cover showed the hood, natural, and street side of her. i think its too fake to show herself. i mean, real herself.

After her rant and rave on twitter dissing Lil’ Kim and T.I. I just cant take her seriously anymore…I was kinda on her team, but she is just a bit to childish for me…and her music is ok, but not all that…
And that FAKE ASS GRACE JONES LOOKING COVER IS NOT A GOOD LOOK!….

I’ll listen to her music to see what she gives, but she herself is a BITCH. Her little hissy fits and RANTS, and constantly trying to does EVERYONE is just trashy. And to the person in these comments who just said she’s the new Missy… Sit AAALLLL the way down. She’s the new Messy. There’s no such thing as a “new Missy”
