Ne-Yo is back with “Lazy Love,” the first single off his upcoming album R.E.D. Earlier this year, the R&B gentleman made the move from Def Jam to Motown, where he holds the title of Senior VP of A&R. The follow-up to 2010’s Libra Scale is due September 18. Get a taste below.

Its a grower – probably not the best foot to lead with. BUT, Ne-Yo is in his own lane and whatever he does is still good regardless of radio, charts, or sales. Lets be honest…

MY boy Ne-Yo! Glad he hasn’t abandoned what made him better than all these other R&B dudes out here (trey songz, chris brown, etc) his ability to make music that isn’t dated and trendy!! Not necessarily a “banger” but defintely a refreshing change of pace from the current scope of music… between Ne-Yo, Frank Ocean, and Miguel male R&B could see a desperately needed revival! I fucks with it!

@zzzezzy, Chris Brown has ALWAYS been a out of the box artist, not trendy. Music shouldn’t be separated anyway. Music is music and Chris Brown happens to bring it all. Sorry you don’t like it but he’s never been trendy. That’s it.
