Chicago rapper Chief Keef is racking up the big name endorsements. After getting the remix treatment from Kanye West on his single “I Don’t Like” featuring Pusha T, Big Sean, and Jadakiss, the 16-year-old MC rides with Young Jeezy on “Understand Me.” “Bitch my name is Sosa, you can call me Sammy,” he raps, while Jeezy proclaims, “If thuggin’ was a category, I’d win a Grammy.”

Only 16? We wonder why the Black community is such a mess. Too many of these young Black men want to get involved in this thuggish lifestyle and “rap game”. What’s wrong with becoming a doctor, lawyer, or accountant? I can almost guarantee you Chief Keef didn’t have his father in the home growing up.
Blacks are economically still at the bottom, right where white folks want us to be, and they know we’ll stay there as long as they keep giving record deals to these clowns.

@Teairra, Much respect to you for this post, at 16 years old, I wouldn’t dare talk about this kind of stuff especially if I knew my family could be listening to it. It’s embarassing.

@Teairra, no that’s not why the black community is in an economic down fall. Your statement is based solely on opinion and a sweeping generalization. Pick up a book sweetheart, specifically one about economic disparities and some of the reasons behind them. Dumb a$$.

i can’t support everyone supporting a SIXTEEN YEAR OLD CRIMINAL. have anyone seen his music videos?
like damn, if you’re going to be so delusional about life, at least be an adult. these artists: kanye, jeezy etc don’t need to be supporting this dude rapping about some BULLSHIT. they need to encourage him to get his life together cause what good will come out of 16 year old being cosigned by greats for doing WRONG?

Y’all misunderstand what growing up in the Chicago is…most of us don’t have childhoods, we are the product of a corrupt environment; this young buck found his nitch so he should be able express himself through his music without be being heavily criticize… he deserves to be gratified for his grind and dedication for living his dream…

All these “preaching” comments are full of sh!t. You all have no idea what’s its like to grow up Chicago. Sitting behind your computer screen judging people, its hard as hell to make out of the Chicago hood. Let this young dude do him. It’s better for him to be rapping then selling drugs. Everyone can’t be “perfect”. Half of you all probaby not in school. I don’t know why I even bother looking at the comments. This is my first n last comment EVERY on any site. CHICAGO B!TCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The beat is nice and the hook is catchy is a very true statement, but truthfully the boy can’t rap!!! There’s lots of starving underground artist tryna make it out of poverty that has great music out there, their # hasn’t came up yet, and its unfortunate his # is up next! The industry is about making money and if he got 4 million others sayin his none rappin ass is hot, then the industry is gone say its hot too, cus they want that MONEY, they don’t care if he SUCKS look a Kreayshawn, she sucks too but when you got views when you look at the comments on both videos lots of folks say they suck but the comments good or bad are giving him views, thats what important to the industry nowadays! My favorite underground artist rite now is Radio Base from The Cosby Hype this nigga music swags but I haven’t heard is # came up yet and you can’t compare him to Cheif Keef, Radio will eat him alive!!
