To celebrate the 300,000th view of her “Bombs” video on YouTube, Dawn Richard debuts a new song called “Wild N’ Young.” The song was originally going to be appear on her EP Armor On.

“#wildnyoung was up against “Change” on the EP Armor On,” explained the former Dirty Money member. “I loved both songs. But chose ‘Change.’”

LOVE DAWN, LOVE THE BEAT. However, after a while, when listening to the song, I couldn’t understand what she is saying. They could have mixed down her vocals better.

I will have to remember that when artist tell you point blank that their music is “raw”. It means it is very explicit. Lesson learned. Music is not for me.

It’s basically the same beat as “Change.” I was expecting something more fresh, like her to put out the official version of “Fly” (which was also slated to be on the EP), even thou it is available online, but not a the officially mastered version, I don’t think.

I like it but I think “Change” is a better choice. That EP she put out is the BUSINESS!!! It took a few listens but musically, it’s far different from ANYTHING that’s out there right now and that’s why I respect Dawn so much.
