Nelly Furtado Performs on ‘KTLA Morning News’
Fresh off her performance at Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards, Nelly Furtado ramped up promo for her upcoming album The Spirit Indestructible with an appearance on L.A.’s “KTLA Morning News.” The Grammy-winning songstress performed an acoustic version of “Say It Right” and her new single “Big Hoops (Bigger the Better).”
The Rodney Jerkins-produced song was inspired by her teenage years. “I used to put on these big huge hoops, big baggy jeans, and be in front of the mall,” said Nelly. “I thought I was famous, but I wasn’t yet. It’s a song about that swagger and that attitude. Even if you don’t wear hoops—your watch, whatever it is makes you feel good.”
Nelly’s album has been pushed back from June 19 to September 18.

Always liked Nelly but recently shes made a stan out of me .. she is so hot, fresh, creative .. Dope as always .. beautiful as always. The guy said her albums coming out September 18th though, wasn’t it supposed to be the 11th? .. Fuckkk these pushbacks.
p.s. peeep her freshness as with every single performance of this song its something different. a lot of the time i won’t watch someone perform a song more than once cuz seen 1 seen ‘em all .. she keeps it fresh everytime
