Miserable. Kidd Kidd is horrible. Ned the Wino?!
Production is all the same. Get on a Renegades
track or something! Come on Curtis. The problem
here is that Get Rich was TOO good, it all went
downhill from there(slowly at first) and now it
just hit rock bottom. Get some relavent artists to do features. Oh, and I’m glad you got Em on
there, really good sentence he had. You’re stuck
in the past and can’t move forward and its sad to witness. Goodbye Fif.

@FR, This makes no sense you basically were on some typical want the old fif back and then go to say he’s stuck in the past and can’t move forward which pretty much is contradicting yourself. As far as the relevant features part god forbid he goes against the grain for the most part in today’s hip hop where they feel the need to fill up a mixtape/album with a ton of features of whoever is hot because they are too insecure to sell people on just themselves.

@PHX, Im not saying I want the old 50 back. Im saying that Get Rich was his best work and he didnt grow with the times. Clearly 50 needs these features to help him cause these guys can’t cut it. If he wants to make sub-par music, he should continue doing what hes doing.

@FR, So you want 50 to start using autotune, wearing tight jeans, and only rapping over lex lugar style beats or something to get with the times? That would be silly and it don’t fit him. He has already experimented with music with stuff like ayo technology and such and of course that didn’t go over well with most of his fanbase but did with people outside of it You should want artist to be who they are not to do what the next man is cause it is what’s hot right now. Man has made great music after GRODT but there is always people who dismiss it by saying oh I want the old fif or he ain’t cool to like anymore so meh and dislike it by default.
In a current rap game where we don’t have enough balance between the so called new sound and the boom bap/aggressive sound I’m glad he’s making music like this but I respect you’re opinion anyways you just can’t please everybody it’s impossible to do in hip hop and music period.

@PHX, Not sure where I said he should use autotune and wear tight jeans. He just hasnt developed AT ALL. Im fine with him doing what hes always done, but he hasnt developed, tweaked his sound, NOTHING. Jay did it, jay isnt in tight jeans or on autotune. And YES, I would love to hear what he can do with the best producers of today, not the unheard of producers of tomorrow.

@FR, Was saying that cause it was seeming like you wanted him to blend in with today’s music. .If that was true that he never tweak his sound then we wouldn’t have people time after time saying we want the old fif back so that is not true. He’s stayed true to his core which isn’t a bad thing but you can’t say he hasn’t experimented with tweaking his sound cause he did with the Curtis album and then guess what people started turning on him. This is the issue I have with today’s hip hop fanbase cause you can’t win for losing. You stick to your roots they say you’re stale, you change you get called a sell out.
And as far as the producer part this is what someone of his name value is supposed to do give a chance to the unknown producer to make them know. Imagine if Jay never gave Just Blaze and Kanye a chance when they were unknown. I’m glad he isn’t just going out and getting the typical producers of today mainly cause there are too many trying to bite off what’s hot and now everyone wanna be the next Lex Lugar. So I have zero issue with him using up and coming producers since we need a balance with boom bap and the 808 sound.

@FR, The bottom line is that what he is doing is not working. He signed Kidd Kidd, come on! What does he see in him? I am willing to bet my life that this mixtape flops(download wise) and his album does the same. To me, 50 Cent is done as a rapper and his best days are WAY behind him. You may not have an issue with him using up and coming producers, neither do I(sometimes), but if it doesn’t sound good(which it doesnt) then thats that.

@FR, Also, it seems like the ones that change and get called “sell outs” still make it and people come around and warm up to those artists. The ones that dont change and go stale fade away, as 50 has and will continue to do.

Thats it.. I’ve had it with 50. Cheers for the memorys and all but this tape is tragic.. He hasn’t grown as an artist, his beat selection is horrible, his flow is lazy.. And his subject matter is played out.. Tell us about your son , the pressures off fame and money, the pain off interscope no longer seeing you as there cash cow.. I mean how many times is this guy gonna rhyme something with gat? I genuinely don’t like a single thing on this tape.. Remember the beats this guy put on power of the dollar, get rich and the massacre? His verse on hate it or love it? I just think he’s got too many “yes men” around him to push him anymore.. Rant over..

@The Mothership, While you have points on subject matter keep in mind this is a mixtape not an album. Would make more sense to have that stuff on an album rather than something we are getting for free.
