Rap-Up.com || 2 Chainz on Arrest: ‘They Tried to Assassinate My Swag’

2 Chainz started a riot at New York’s LaGuardia Airport on Tuesday when TSA officials found what they believed to be “brass knuckles” on him. But he explains that the object in question was actually a four-finger ring.

Police took the Def Jam rapper, born Tauheed Epps, into custody and charged him with misdemeanor possession of a criminal weapon in the fourth degree.

Following his release, 2 Chainz spoke about the incident. “They tried to assassinate my character, they tried to assassinate my swag,” he told MTV News. “It was just a negative dilemma earlier where someone misconstrued a piece of jewelry for a weapon and stuff.”

He spent eight to nine hours behind bars and pleaded guilty to a lesser, unspecified charge. “Me just trying to explain it was getting too frustrating,” he said. “Me just trying to explain my occupation and then when they finally got to the jail and everybody knew who I was, then they started calling their kids and putting me on the phone with their kids. It was like a weird experience.”

Later the same evening, he was back on stage performing at the “Club Paradise” concert in Raleigh, North Carolina. “Fresh out.com,” he wrote as he boarded a private jet. “Sorry to alll the negative people who wanted me out the way…kant let u have the game bak that ez.”

In addition to his custom gold ring, officials confiscated the Louis Vuitton case he carried it in. “And oh yeh they took my Louis V. traveling case… Smh! Petty I got that from Saudi Arabia…Materials kan b replaced!2blessed2stress.”
