@mordicus: EXCELLENT point, numbers don’t lie & that’s 4 was #1 when it came out & remained so for 4 consecutive weeks whereas TTT came out & was #3 and continued to fall. WFL on TTT was Ri’s only #1 hit from that album. So if you want to say there was a failure between 4 & TTT, then it would be TTT. But then again it’s like comparing apples & oranges because 4 was straight RnB where TTT was house/techno music. I understand you want to stick up for your fave but don’t lie to do so. Ri is alright, she has her lane & the children seem to like her catchy hooks & pussy poppin but she’s not taken seriously as an artist by industry insiders. I like “Where Have You Been” but I prefer the performance on SNL to this.

You guys go on and on about how many records Rihanna has sold compared to Beyonce but you all need to recognise that Madonna sold more records than Whitney, Aretha and Patti Labelle. No comment on Rih’s performance but the comparisons? Where on this post information do you see something about Beyonce? My point exactly. Rihanna isn’t in Beyonce’s lane. Yes, Rihanna has stacked. I’m not denying that but comparing her to someone whose sang for our first black president, has been named top paid artist in the industry, and has 16 Grammys is BEYOND you. Rihanna brings in negative energy. That’s where the negative comments come in to play not hatred. When Rihanna can bring forth entertainment and succeed in the areas where Beyonce has, you can talk. Until then, Beyonce was the one still selling (Without promo) when she did nothing but rest for her pregnancy (When she started to show of course).
