Rap-Up.com || Lil Wayne Slams Pusha T Over ‘Exodus’ Track

YMCMB and G.O.O.D. Music are at odds once again. Lil Wayne is lashing out at Pusha T after the release of his controversial song “Exodus 23:1,” which seemingly takes aim at Drake.

The G.O.O.D. Music MC fires subliminal shots at Wayne’s protégé and his YMCMB crew on The-Dream-assisted track. “Beef is when you hide behind them other ni**as/ But they ain’t killas, they ain’t pulling them triggas/ Fuck ni**as,” raps the former Clipse member.

He continues, “Contract all fucked up/ I guess that means you all fucked up/ You signed to one ni**a, that’s signed to another ni**a, that’s signed to three ni**as/ Now that’s bad luck/ Damn that shit even the odds now/ You better off selling this hard now/ You call it living out your dreams/ You can’t fly without your wings.”

It didn’t take long before the Young Money chief jumped in to defend his family, tweeting, “Fuk pusha t and anybody that love em.”

Pusha previously came at the Canadian rapper on last year’s freestyle “Don’t Fuck Wit Me.” “Rappers on their sophomores, actin’ like they boss lords/ Fame such a funny thing for sure, when ni**as start believing all them encores,” he rapped.

YMCMB and G.O.O.D. Music have had their differences in the past, most notably with Common and Drake’s notorious battle earlier this year.

Why do Young Money fans always assume every issue someone has with them is about money or jealousy? Drake dissed Kanye & Jay-Z when he made a comment about how they stole the WTT idea from him and Wayne which was untrue. Drake dissed lil Kim when it was Ray-J not Kim that made comments about Nicki. Drake dissed all of Good Music on Meek Mill’s Amen track. None of those people had ever said anything about Drake before he spoke out on them.

You just need to go and google info about all the producers that had too sue YMCMB to get paid for their beats. And you clearly don’t understand how the industry works. A lot of times collaborations have nothing to do with personal relationships. Record labels, managers, and producers have more control over who works with who than the artists themselves. Doing a song with someone isn’t an endorsement of that artist’s talent or integrity. It’s a business deal.

There is no question that both Drake and Lil Wayne have sold more records than Pusha T, and both Drake and Lil Wayne are more popular in mainstream hip hop compared to Pusha T. I respect Lil Wayne as a great businessman, and a good rapper, and I respect the fact that Drake is a great music artist, but all of you hardcore YMCMB fans must be crazy to think that Pusha T can’t rap with Drake and Lil Wayne any day of the week.

Pusha T will never sell as many records as Drake and Lil Wayne, but Pusha T is a great lyrical rapper who is totally capable of beating both Drake and Lil Wayne in a freestyle battle. Lil Wayne is a good rapper when he chooses to be, his last 2 albums Rebirth, and Tha Carter IV were critical failures despite high record sales. Drake’s Take Care is a great album, but nobody outside of YMCMB hardcore music fans respects Drake as a battle rapper.

To the music fans who are dissing Pusha T, and saying that Pusha T is a nobody, Pusha T was part of The Clipse who made the classic hip hop song, “Grindin”. If you listen to The Clipse’s classic album, “Hell Hath No Fury”, Pusha T was spitting a lot of great lyrics. If you listen to Kanye West’s classic album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album”, Pusha T spit great lyrics on both So Appalled and Runaway.

In response to DrakeTakeCare, Big Sean is not the best lyrical rapper on GOOD Music. Kanye West, Pusha T, Common, and Q-Tip are way better lyrical rappers than Big Sean. I am not saying that Pusha T was right or wrong for dissing Drake, and I am not saying Lil Wayne was right or wrong for dissing Pusha T, but some of the YMCMB hardcore music fans need to realize that there are plenty of great rappers in hip hop that came before YMCMB and after YMCMB who will never be big time famous, but still can make good music.

Honestly, why can’t people let Drake be? No, he did not live the thug life. Big whoop-dee-doo. He is talented and he works hard. I went to his concert and he did an amazing job. I respect Pusha-T, but people need to accept the fact that we live in a different day and age. Hip hop is no longer just the voice of people from the projects… It has gone global. I really dislike this generations hip hop community when it comes to hip hop beef because instead of accepting as apart of the hip hop culture that’s been around since the early days it’s always oh that dude is just hating whatever. There are a good amount of things I like about hip hop today but one thing I dislike more than anything is the lack of competitive nature. Not saying everyone needs to hate each other but we don’t need this we are the world mentality where dudes don’t wanna be honest with how they feel about another artist cause we are in this age of where everybody feels like they gotta work with everybody and kiss ass.

So I like shit like this because it’s needed to add that competitive and aggression that today’s hip hop really needs. I don’t see this as him hating on them cause they are successful but giving his honest opinion on something he doesn’t like.

pusha will destory wayne, and this is coming from a 14 year-old white boy. a couple of years ago wayne was on a whole other level. he was the best of the best and nobody could fuck with him. now, he fell off, HARD. idk wtf he thinks he’s doing messing with good music cause right now any artist off that label is better than wayne, and thats a sad thing to say since he’s been in the game for nearly 2 decades and claims to be “the best rapper alive”. i wish he would go back to the way he was in ’05-’08. he’s slowly fading away, but instead of putting the focus on his other artists, hes promoting them the wrong way. i defenetly think ymcmb’s got some talent. shanell, cory gunz, jae millz, busta, mystikal and even drake are great artists, but besides drake none of them are being promoted properly and thats why good music is on the top of the rap game (lyrically) and ymcmb is at the bottom, selling millions, but getting barely any respect from the real hip-hop heads in this world.
