Rap-Up.com || André 3000 Becomes Jimi Hendrix in Biopic

Lights, camera, action! André 3000 transformed into rock legend Jimi Hendrix for the biopic All Is by My Side. The OutKast rapper, born André Benjamin, was photographed on set in the town of Bray, Ireland, rocking an Afro as he looked over a balcony.

The film, starring André, will explore Hendrix’s early career, including his time spent in England in 1966 and 1967 while working on his classic debut Are You Experienced. The shoot is expected to last for six weeks.

I would have thought Kid Cudi would have been better cuz he looks more similar to Jimi, but Dre pulls it off surprisingly well

I thought it would be either wiz or cudi to play as jimi but since it’s 3 stacks I reckoned it’s gonna be one hell of a good film I mean think about it all the movies he’s been (be cool, four brothers, revolver etc) are dope

Andre 3000 is the perfect actor to play Jimi Hendrix and considering that Andre 3000 is a good actor, a great rapper, and a great music artist, I can’t see no one else playing this role better than Andre 3000. I wish Andre 3000 more success in the near future.

Freddy, I just wish that they would milk Jimi’s name in a more dignified maennr. Nothing wrong in capitalizing on his legend, but there are better ways of doing it — while still making a very healthy profit. This new product is just plain selling out.
