The General joins forces with the King in the video for “Compliments” off Tank’s new album This Is How I Feel. The labelmates kill the ladies with their flattery, while singer-songwriter Kris Stephens adds her feminine touch.
“That record was a street buzz record in the beginning and we leaked it out there and let people hear it and get familiar with it,” Tank told Rap-Up.com. “Once we put T.I. on there, it just skyrocketed from there.”
@Brittney,
Don’t get me wrong I DO like the song, but I just feel it falls into the same categorie as the following:
NEW ARTISTS
Luke James – I want You
Brandon Hines – Yes U Are
Hamilton Park – Things Called Us
Brutha – Sexaholic
OLD ARTISTS
Tyrese – Stay
Donnell Jones – Love like this
Ginuwine – What Could Have Been
My point being, These are all GREAT RnB songs which came out in the last year or 2, but neither of them are gona make it into the BILLBOARD TOP 100
The music industry is a machine and they are no longer pumpin’ millions of dollars into promoting SOLO-RnB/Soul singers anymore, Which is a Great shame, Which is why I made the JOKE suggesting Tank doing a Song with Drake, Chris Brown OR Lil’ WAYNE named “Poppin in the club”. It seems to be the only way they can get attention these days

Tank,
Having a hot chick in your video doesn’t renders your music any less boring and predictable.
