Sophia Grace and Rosie aren’t the only youngsters covering Nicki Minaj. The elementary school chorus from Public School 22 in Graniteville, Staten Island, tackled the rapper’s ballad “Marilyn Monroe” in celebration of the late icon’s birthday. The group of fifth-graders, who rose to stardom with their YouTube covers of Adele and Lady Gaga, performed the vulnerable Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded cut, with a solo from Denise. See them take it to school.
@youMADstayMAD, I didn’t mean it in a rude way! Whether their kids or grown adults, it seems like they would have had females thing this song. I’m sure many people agree with me.
@:), the song isn’t about feeling like a female model – it’s about feeling like you’re not good enough and feeling like everyone’s against you.. and anybody, boy or girl, can relate to that.
WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO? nick “minaj” can’t be associated with kids.. her name is explicit, how can she be allowed to be near children or go on kids tv and all people wanna talk about is the illuminati its the same people who don’t go church that talk the most (god is not real) so grow the fuck up and open your eyes..
@Sassy, it has nothing to do with your race. That’s just ignorant. It is about feeling like your not good enough, the world is against you…not only white kids can relate to that.
