Nicki Minaj and Tyga Perform at Wired Fest

Nicki Minaj and Tyga

After launching her “Pink Friday” tour in Australia and Japan, Nicki Minaj returned to the U.S. for a headlining performance at Wired 96.5’s Wired Fest in Philadelphia on Friday. The blonde Barb performed her Roman Reloaded hits including “Beez in the Trap” and “Starships,” and caught up with her Young Money labelmate Tyga, who also hit the stage at the Susquehanna Bank Center.

“Me and my liddle bruva tyga tonite! We used to do 1 song w/wayne now we #headlining #YMCMB,” tweeted Nicki.

    Stay mad Reply:

@MinajRules2012, That’s what silicone, a plastic surgeon, bleach, a wig, and backtrack can do for you! It took you THIS long to reply to your own fave’s post but QUITE fast for you to keep returning to others. Fake ass. Tyga, SHUT IT DOWN. Nice to know he doesn’t lip synch his raps at all ;)

i really wish she would just wear her correct foundation tone. Why do she wants to be white so bad? she just doesn’t do it for me live

Combine their so-called ”talents” and you come up with zero.

@Levy, so if two “talentless” people are touring the world and living a life u could only dream of are zeros… Damn there’s no hope 4 u.

@Levy, Arrogant ass attitude. You don’t like it so it must be worthless. Chill. Obviously somebody likes it. If you don’t ignore it. If it’s not for you don’t waste your energy thinking about it or commenting on it. Seriously.

You’re not royalty. The world is not about pleasing you. CHILL.

I was there too. I love hip-hop (preferably underground concious rappers, but I have mad respect for radio/pop rappers today). They know how to pull the young white crowds and if they can get mainstream America wrapped around their fingers, they are gonna blow up. I have to agree that while both Nicki and Tyga are phenomenal emcees, I was not impressed with Nicki’s live performance. She is an actress, but her vocals were not completely live, as her voice was consistently played behind her mic at all times. Any time she pulled the mic away, her voice still was projected b/c the DJ had the song playing in the background. I wasn’t impressed with her live singing (rapping, YES, and appearance, YES). TYGA killed it. The show was bangin and quite frankly my favorite acts were Sammy Adams and T-Pain. T-Pain actually beat boxed for a few minutes and let us hear what his voice sounded like minus autotune….Regardless I think they ripped it and it was a fantastic show!! Philly gave them the love/respect they deserve!

Also, wanna give a shout out to a young, up and coming sick emcee that I met in the lawn at the Susquehanna Bank Center named “yung poppa.” You can check out his lyrical skillz on itunes! I think he is 13 or perhaps younger. He was working the lawn crowd in between sets…..
