This is gonna be one of the best albums of 2012.
It’s so retro and innovative, Usher wasn’t playing. Not generic at all like the haters said it was gonna be.
Euphoria >>>>>
Take notes Chris.

@Roc The Life, Why does Chris need to takes notes? Because he released a pop single just like Usher did? OH. I wouldn’t judge a album if I haven’t heard the snippets yet. Keep your shit cute and enjoy Usher’s snippets.

Can’t Stop Won’t Stop, Twisted, What Happened To U are the only songs that stood out to me, besides the singles. The deluxe edition tracks are better than half of the album, but I guess that’s smart marketing for you. Overall, my expectations went from top of the top to bottom of the barrel. I wish we could have gotten at least one bedroom banger.

@Cranberry, Not your low life ass again. His past has NOTHING to do with his music. Hell, this post has nothing to do with Chris Brown. The jokes are old. He paid the consequences and never did it again. Where’s that credit? Oh yeah, a low life brings other people down to make themselves feel better. MY BAD! I’ll see you in stores to purchase Fortune July 3rd.

Very Dissapointed! Usher had lost it. I give up on him.
Oh well at least Chris Brown’s album will have decent RnB. His free songs are better than Ushers album. Thats sad but truth!

@MonkeyMan, I mean you really can’t compare 30 seconds of songs to full songs and like Usher said, this wasnt going to be an RnB album.

@King Size, Chris doesn’t have more than four pop songs on a album. Get your shit correct.

Whats with these pop music? Sounds too generic, not good enough. I blame the fans. We are getting used to settling for ‘average’. This is low standards compared to the old Usher.
NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

I’ve been listening to Usher since 8701 era and I’m also strong fan of R&B. But despite these facts I absolutely love most of what I heard from the snippets. It’s gonna be Usher’s strongest tape since Confessions. Brave, unexpected, experimental Usher.

Despite what Usher fans think a lot of CB fans like Usher still. They are friends, but they have different views on music and life. They’re people, not clothes at a clothing store. Stop comparing like it’s gonna make you any difference. I swear people argue over these celebs like they care what they think. They’re both somewhere throwing up money either way you spin it.
Only thing Chris really needs to work on is learning how to actually sing live and also learning how to ignore all the hate he knows he’s always gonna have. This whole “I’m not doing interviews” thing is BS. He knows he needs the promo. That’s why they had to push the album back. Releasing all theses singles with little promo. He should at least interview w/ people he already trusts. He should know how ignore that hate by now. 4 years later and he’s still reacting like this. If he can’t master that, then I guess it’s always gonna get to him.
Anyways Numb, What Happened To U, and Show Me sound awesome to me. I can’t wait to hear Usher’s album in full. Got mine pre-ordered.

This album sound interesting and different, unlike most music coming out today. I kills me people think this is a more pop album. It has like 3 dance tracks on the whole album. The reason R&B is dead is cause of fans. They didn’t buy Here I Stand cause they hated Tameka, which that is a great album. Usher decides to go half R&B and half Dance with RvR, only the dance tracks do good. R&B fans whine about that. They could of pushed Hey Daddy and There Goes My Baby further, but didn’t. Now he is fusing both together and they can’t get with that. No wonder MIguel ignored by the Grammys. R&B fans want that something that does exist, because it’s not like Trey Songz is burning up the charts.

@Yaya, I totally agree with you…people always want RnB from Usher and when he gives it, fans don’t accept it and help it blow up. The reason RnB is not mainstream is because people don’t want it

What a load of rubbish! The old Usher with 8701 and Confessions is what he does best. Not this pop dance bullshit! This has ruined so many artists for the sake of getting on the music channels.
Too many Rnb/Hip-Hop stars have ‘sold their soul if you like e.g. Akon, Usher, Chris Brown, Flo Rida, Ne-Yo and it sounds TERRIBLE!

I can’t believe ppl are really complaining about the pop/dance songs when its only like 4 (including scream) out of 18. Y’all act like he is not a mainstream artist, he has a pop fanbase. I wonder did u ppl complain and criticise him for “Yeah” because before dat he never did anything like it. If u like the snippets good if u don’t shut up and go away

I like what I’ve heard with the snippets & it sounds pretty good. I don’t think R&B is dead, it’s just not selling like it was around 7, 8 yrs ago because it’s 2012 & pop is what’s selling now mainstream wise. & like what @Yaya said above, Here I Stand was a very underrated album. One of my favorites from Usher. The only artists who have stayed true to the R&B roots without crossing over are ppl like Anthony Hamilton, Keith Sweat, Joe, Brian McKnight, MJB, Johnny Gill etc. Nothing wrong with crossing over though but I like that Usher’s still kept his R&B sound on this album.

I’m a big fan of the “old” usher, but I have to say that this album is banging. Its a whole new sound and when an artist is going out on a limb to experiment you have to appreciate the risk being taken.
