Rap-Up.com || Lupe Fiasco Reveals ‘Food & Liquor 2’ Release Date

Lupe Fiasco fans will have to wait until the fall to get their hands on Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1. The Chicago rapper has announced a release date for the album.

The highly-anticipated sequel to 2006’s Food & Liquor is due September 25, he announced on Facebook.

The album features the single “Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free),” which ignited controversy for its sample of Pete Rock and CL Smooth’s 1992 classic “They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.).”

“It’s the Lupe Fiasco that I want to be without the industry constraints, without trying to please the hardcore fans or the new fans,” Lupe told Fuse. “It’s just me, what I would do for myself, if nobody every heard it. This is the kind of music that I would make. It’s a masterpiece.”

I have always thought that Lupe Fiasco is one of the greatest, most underrated rappers in hip hop. Lupe Fiasco is a lyrical genius and a musical genius. I am looking forward to Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor 2: The Great Amercian Rap Album. I thought Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor, and The Cool Albums were very, good albums. I was very disappointed with Lasers album. I hope Food & Liquor 2: The Great Amercian Rap Album turns out to be a great album.

It looks like it’s going to be a good year for music. The GOOD Music Album, Nas new album, Maybach Music Album, and T.I.’s new album are the other music albums I am also looking foward to listening to as well.
