Fantasy Ride and Basic Instict wasn’t a very good time for her because of her management and promotion…the team behind her didn’t give her the support that she needed.

You win some, you lose some…but I know she will get back on the map and succeed…

Look at Mariah Carey…she had quite a few FLOP albums before the Emancipation of Mimi Comeback, and she didn’t have to sell out and go “dance-pop”…actually, it was the “dance-pop” music that was her downfall ie. “Glitter” etc…and she got back to R&B and look what it’s done for her…

This industry needs some good Urban/R&B, there’s a lack and i’m glad Ci-Ci is sticking to that…this is Ciara’s style and her niche…I’m confident things will go a lot better this time around because her label and management are on top of their game and they are dedicated to making sure she gets the proper support.

I applaud Ci-Ci for not hopping the bandwagon and taking the easy road out…people are gonna eventually get tired of hearing the same “electro-pop” stuff from every single artist…Ciara is sticking to what she’s best at, and just because she had a couple of bumps in the road doesn’t mean that she has to sell herself out…EVERYONE has downfalls, including the best out there…what will make a difference now is that her fans really support her…she already has a great team behind her so now it’s up to us to stand beside her as well and cop that album and buy those singles!!

@Jlo Promo, But that’s the thing. Ciara did the whole crossover/pop sound on her “Fantasy Ride” album. She lost alot of fans when she came out with “Love Sex Magic” because people wasn’t really feeling that side of her.

I’m pretty sure this album isn’t going to be just R&B.
People keep speaking on her album’s not being a success but fail to realize the reason behind that is because of PROMO! “Basic Instinct” didn’t really get any promo because she didn’t have the labels support.

I think this sound is good. She’s reminding people who she really is. This single gives me that “Hood” style she had during her “Goodies”/”Evolution” eras.

@cOMEaTmEbRO, I wouldnt use promo as an excuse because even with a lot of promotion artists still flop. In Ciaras case it was just that ppl werent feeling the music and the singles she was dropping. Basic Instinct would have sold if she had a big hit single honestly she didnt get that Top 10 single on Billboard. I think “Sweat” is a great way to come back into the game because its very refreshing the sound is different and its gonna change radio since theres nothing on there that sounds like it. This in my opinion was a very wise choice. If she had gone with a pop single people would have been downing Ciara for going pop. Its like she cant please anyone. This is good enough for me.

This is very Hit or miss. The beat is all over the place. Like Nicki Minaj when she dropped massive attack i didnt get it even after i listened to it over 10 times. This is either gonna do very well on the charts or not. Damn sad that this single got scrapped they didnt even give it a chance. Theres not going to be a video or anything completey shelved this single now supposedly her new first single is gonna be “Boy Outta Here” ft Rick Ross. I think this will be a huge mistake i remember when High Price was supposed to be the first single off Fantasy Ride and they ended up releasing Go Girl which flopped. Idk about this i really like Sweat as the first single.
