Rap-Up.com || Nicki Minaj and Foxy Brown Bond in the Big Apple

Nicki Minaj did not get to touch down on the Summer Jam stage, but that didn’t stop her from having a good time. The Harajuku Barbie kicked it with fellow femcee Foxy Brown, as well as her collaborators Cam’ron and Beenie Man in NYC on Sunday. She had hinted of a historic performance involving these artists plus Lauryn Hill, Nas, 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, Birdman, Tyga, Jae Millz, and Gudda Gudda.

“History will be made @ Hot97 Summer Jam tonight. I really hope you’re there to witness it,” she tweeted before her plans changed. “Wow. U ni**az just fucked up history. But the President has spoken.”

Foxy has shown love to Nicki in the past. “I think she’s doing an incredible job of branding herself,” she previously told MTV News. “When you’re a boss bitch, you give it up. Send her a Chanel bag or something. If you’re winning, you’re winning. That’s just how I see it.”

@Senza, Nicki Minaj is pathetic. She saw Kim bring out Eve, Missy Elliot, Salt n Peppa and Rasheeda on her tour to support female unity. Therefore the clone decided she would try to bring out Foxy Brown and Lauryn Hill (who was performing with Nas anyway).

Nicki Minaj is a pathetic wannabee Lil’ Kim. I was there as a fan waiting for her and she bailed out on me and everyone else there. Lil’ Kim would have never done that.

@Mrunhateable, dumbass, it’s SUMMER JAM…one of the BIGGEST EVENTS in the world…they didn’t need Nicki’s name to promote…it woulda sold out regardless, as it ALWAYS DOES!!!!

Rosenburg kept his opinion and called her out, he didn’t use her for anything…he’s not the one who makes the line-up…

Even Funkmaster Flex (who always gave Nicki and YMCMB props and love) called her out and dissed her on stage for backing out at the last minute…

YMCMB made a bad bizness move…they so busy worrying about “respect”…

it’s the music bizness…there’s always gonna be times where artists feel disrespected, or things don’t always go their way…radio DJ’s always diss artists and give their professional opinions (even diss artists who perform at their events), so why does Nicki feel she’s counted out??Money is money and fans are fans…they missed out on both last night…

I’m assuming they were contracted to perform, so they may have to face a lawsuit…and they also let their fans down…lots of people were pissed off and now they lost some devoted fans…

Bottom line is, they need to stop being drama queens and getting all emo and be professionals, leave that cry baby shyt at the door…this is a job that they signed up for!!!!

Now for nicki, I feel she could have handled the situation differently but I feel where her and wayne’s decision came from. she put her tour on hold to be a part of summer jam (where she is cutting the check with 10+acts) so lets not act like she is fucking up too much of her money. I don’t like everything that came from PF roman reloaded, but yall act like this girl killed your mothers or something. Starships is a multi platinum and still doing very well on bill boards, I don’t really like the song but a lot of people clearly do. A lot of people may not agree with this but this is my 2 cents: it’s really sad what Hip Hop has become these days. There’s so much division. Why can’t people be grown instead of constantly trying to tear the next one down. Lil’ Kim and Foxy Brown were both nice on the mic back in the day. It’s just unfortunate they can’t stand together and show some positivity to the youth. That’s why my favorite femcees will always be Queen Latifah and Missy Elliott. They’ve always been about unity.
