Rita Ora

Rita Ora takes it back to her roots in her latest “24/7” episode for VEVO. Before she landed a deal with Roc Nation and topped the U.K. charts, the Albanian songstress was trying to make a name for herself. She showed off her early talent by playing the piano and singing “I’ll Be Waiting,” a song she wrote when she was 15.

The bubbly blonde also shared the direction of her forthcoming debut. “I wanted my first album to be about what I wanted to listen to when I heard an album,” said Rita, who is currently opening for Coldplay’s European tour.

“I wanted to escape for three minutes, so I wanted to have something that made me smile. I wanted to make people smile. I haven’t really been through a heartbreak, so I didn’t really want to write about a heartbreak.”

Watch her spread some sunshine below.
