Big K.R.I.T.’s Def Jam debut Live From the Underground enters at No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 5 on the Billboard 200 this week with 41,000 copies sold. To celebrate its success, the Mississippi MC has released the self-produced song “Thank You Kindly,” which he dedicates to his fans.
“I wanted to thank all the fans for the support, so I did this one for ya’ll,” wrote K.R.I.T.

@whitechocolate, 40,000 for a debut is still kinda bad for a new artist. A decent debut would be around 70-80 thousand.

Yes, it is a very nice debut for an underground artist. Congratulations K.R.I.T.
