After debuting her new song “Aquababe” earlier in the week, Azealia Banks serves up the video for “Liquorice,” a cut off her EP 1991. The video was directed by Rankin and styled by Nicola Formichetti, known for his work with Lady Gaga. Watch the premiere below.

I HATE these Nicki stans. I’m a fan of Nicki Minaj but it’s not that deep. She’s not paying my bills and she’s definitely not gonna pay me enough to sleep on a talented chick like Azealia. @georgia23, CO-SIGN, Nicki is far and away my favorite but I also really, really like Azealia. The Nicki fans who blindly defend Nicki and pit her against all other female rappers come off as more confrontational and stubborn than “true” fans.

The only thing is Az’s series of lines beginning with “black girl” at 2:17 are veryyy similar like Nicki’s “fly girl” lines in “Kill the DJ.” Doesn’t particularly bother me, just worth pointing out. I’d love for a Nick/Az collab.
