Kim Kardashian Opens Up to Oprah About Kanye West
“Is Kanye West the new fairy tale?” Oprah asked Kim Kardashian during her interview on “Oprah’s Next Chapter.”
The reality star, who split with ex-husband Kris Humphries after 72 days, opened up about her much-talked-about relationship with new beau Kanye.
“We met maybe almost a decade ago,” said Kim. “I’ve known him for a really long time. We’ve been friends for like six or seven years. It’s very comforting to have someone that knows everything about you, that respects you, understands, has gone through similar things.”
They have more in common than meets the eye. “I can really relate to his mother passing. He can really relate to my father passing,” she said. “There’s so many similarities in our lives. I feel like I’m at a really happy good space. I don’t know why it took so long for us to get together, but I think I needed to go through all my experiences and some that he’s gone through.”
